Teen Bible Quizzing is a discipleship ministry that encourages teens to learn God’s Word through Bible study and friendly competition. Our desire that each teen falls in love with spending time in Scripture for the purpose of developing their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Attend the quiz practice and Bible studies. We will meet each week to spend time in Scripture and practice for the quizzes. To get the most out of it, you will need to spend time studying on your own. Quizzers that spend at least 15 minutes a day in Bible study are often surprised at how much they have learned and can recall.

It is like a game show. There is a quiz master who asks questions, and the quizzers are sitting on quiz seats (or pads) that trigger a light in front of the quiz master. The first quizzer to trigger that light by “jumping” gets to answer the question. It is a lot of fun. To truly understand it, you need to try it out. It is easier than it looks.

There are no requirements to be on the team. Of course, you will get more out of it if you study on your own and come to the Bible study, practices, and quizzes, but there is no requirement to do so. We know there are many conflicts in schedules, so we encourage each quizzer to study and attend when they can.

There are no requirements to attend a local district quiz. Most of the quizzes we attend are in the local OKC area and Weatherford. There are requirements for out of state quizzes. If we travel to a quiz out of state, then we want those who attend to be very involved in the team and spending time on their own studying Scripture.

There are costs. If you are unable to pay for anything, let your quiz coach know, and we will work something out. The costs for each quiz will be communicated before you commit to attend. The costs involved are:

  • Materials for Study
  • Local District Quizzes – The only cost is lunch.
  • Invitational Quizzes (Larger quizzes that involved teams from multiple states) – There are travel costs, entry fee, lodging, and meals
  • Most importantly, getting to know Jesus and furthering our relationship with him.
  • Learning Scripture
  • Getting to know quizzers on the team and the district. Many develop lifelong friendships with others who are seeking Jesus.
  • Develop good study habits/skills.
